Measuring for Recess Size:

Width: From on side of the internal recess to the other. (Measure in at least 2 places and use to smallest measurement)

Height: From the top of the recess to the window sill. (Measure in at least 2 places and use to the smallest measurement)

Take your Width (A) and Drop (B) measurements from within the window recess. Take care to make note of any obstructions which may affect the width or drop of the blinds.

For example it is common place for a bathroom or kitchen window to be tiled from the window sill about half way up the recess. In cases such as this measurement should be taken from the narrowest point E.G between the tiles. Check the recess is square by measuring the width and drop at different points. Use the smallest measurement for your order.

Once you have established the recess size, enter these dimensions directly into the website calculator. We manufacture your blinds to fit perfectly into the recess.

Measuring for Blind Size:

With blind size, your blinds will be manufactured to your exact measurements. Blind sizes are normally used where a blind is to be mounted outside the recess. As a general rule, you should measure the window opening and then add the desired extra width to that size.

Take care to allow a generous overlap to prevent anyone being able to see in from the outside. Please also take care to allow for any obstructions e.g. wall mounted light fittings, etc.

- Please note roman blind over 130 cms wide may have joins in the face fabric. This is normal and the industry standard, as quality soft furnishing fabrics are produced on 134 cms wide looms.

We only use Louvolite`s blue pin roller blind systems, the metal brackets are strong, they will face or top fix, we have used this system for around the last 15 years.

Pelmet Options
We now offer you the option to have a 70mm deep, matching pelmet, this add`s a great neat finish.

Please note that the fabric width will be 4cms narrower on the overall width.

All of our roller blinds are produced in our own factory in Elland, West Yorkshire, thank you for supporting British manufacturing.

Please note. The cloth width of a roller blind will be 3.5cms less than the overall width of the blind, this is to allow for the controls and brackets to be fitted inside a recess.
